Yoga on International Bereaved Mother's Day

Yoga is an expansive practice that provides us with techniques to care for ourselves, process feelings of grief, and find peace in difficult times. When we experience trauma our body has a natural tendency to hold its breath, which can cause tension in the mind and body.

During this practice, we will incorporate pranayama (breath exercises), meditation, and movement to help release tension, calm the nervous system, and connect to our breath. We hope that you will take these practices off the mat and apply them to your daily life.

Join yoga instructor, and Empty Arms community member Kendra Greene, as we explore ways in which yoga can calm and ground our bodies. This event is free, but intended to be for anyone who is grieving pregnancy or infant loss. Click “View Event” and register online.

The group discusses the full gambit of raising children while also grieving the baby we cannot hold in our arms. Whether you have a newborn or your children are older, we recognize a need to process how a grief journey of pregnancy or infant loss impacts parenting your living children. This is a space to talk about our specific experiences and complicated emotions. Please note it's common for parents of newborns to join, so there may be babies present.

Dads Support Group

This is a support group for male-identified, non-gestational parents who have experienced the loss of a baby. Navigating the loss of a child is profoundly challenging, and men often struggle to find a safe place to express their grief. This is a dedicated space where bereaved fathers can find solace and understanding. Our support group acknowledges that fathers experience grief differently from their partners, and we provide a compassionate environment tailored to these unique needs. You don't have to walk this path alone.
