We remember TOGETHER.

During October, Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness month, we hold this space to remember the babies we miss and honor a journey where grief and joy coexist. Whether you had moments or months with your baby, we honor your journey and grieve as a community.

This year, we are excited to host this event at the beautiful All Souls Interfaith Gathering in Shelburne. During the evening we will decorate luminaries, enjoy snacks and drinks, hear from community members, and end with a luminary walk alongside a beautiful lake view.

Family, friends and children are encouraged to attend. If you are a part of the medical community and would like to participate on behalf of your patients, please do. There will be a kid-appropriate activity for children to interact with as we all explore big feelings and connecting with those we love.

Personalized Candle

We are partnering with Mountain Stone Candle (Hyde Park, VT) to provide families with a personalized candle in memory of your baby(ies). On the RSVP form, please include what should be written In Memory Of “Timothy,” “Smith pregnancies,” “baby Smith,” etc. (The RSVP deadline for a personalized candle is September 23 so we have adequate time to make them.)

This candle can be used during Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness month, holidays and anniversaries. On October 15, the Wave of Light is a global ceremony that recognizes and honors those who experienced pregnancy or infant loss. The event is held annually on October 15, which is also International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Wave of Light begins with the lighting of candles at 7:00pm which burn for one hour. As flames go out in one time zone, they are illuminated in the next time zone, creating a worldwide ripple of light.

* We thank Ben & Jerry’s Community Action Grant for funding these candles for families.

Where there is deep grief,
there is great love.
